Professor George Hanna is the Head of Division of Surgery, Imperial College London and the Chair of oesophago-gastric cancer team for London Cancer Alliance.

He is the General Secretary of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons and the Research Director for the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeon of Great Britain and Ireland.

His research interest includes gastro-esophageal cancer, surgical technology, human factors and the assessment of surgical quality.
