Travel Award Program Application Outline

JDDW 2015 will establish a Travel Award Program for the purpose of development and exchange between young overseas doctors and researchers. The outline of the application process is shown below. We are looking forward to your application.

1. Number of awards:

Awards will go to 38 people (from Japanese Society of Gastroenterology for 12 people, from Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society for 12 people, from Japan Society of Hepatology for 8 people and from Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery for 6 people).

2. Award details:

Transportation cost: Actual cost of an airline ticket, up to one thousand US dollars (US$1,000);
Accommodation fee: JDDW is to book and pay for the hotel room (single room x 4 nights).
Registration.

3. Application acceptance period:

From February 2 (Mon), 2015 through to noon, March 17 (Tue), 2015 (Same as the application period for JDDW 2015 abstracts).

4. Eligible applicants:

Young overseas doctors/researchers, non-Japanese nationality (in principle, 40 years old or younger).

Please submit your CV for application.
You are requested to pay the Participation/Registration fee of JPY15,000 in advance. In the event that your abstract is selected for the Travel Award Program, the fee will be refunded.

5. Selection process:

The program committee of each society will select award winners by reviewing abstracts received for JDDW 2015.

6. How to apply:

Please apply by submitting your abstract for JDDW 2015. Please click here for application.
Online submission of abstracts for the theme sessions and digital poster sessions for the Travel Award Program will be available from the Submission Page. You can submit your abstract by clicking on "Submit" button.

7. Award notification:

The details will be sent to each applicant by e-mail around late July of 2015.

8. Penalty for abstract cancellation or non-presentation:

After the decision on acceptance of abstracts, if you cancel your abstract or do not present your abstract at the conference, you will be prohibited from submitting abstracts to JDDW for a period of two (2) years.
