[Introduction] The Quality of Life(QOL) is severely reduced with a decline in general condition combined ileus status caused by intestinal obstruction with cancer invasions. We report 2 cases of QOL improvement by endoscopic stent placement(ESP). [Case 1] A 94 y.o. woman was diagnosed as ascending colon cancer with ileus status. We performed ESP. The tumor was circumferential with 8cm length. We secured a lumen with the stent(12cm length) as Double stenting techniques. We could carry out intake of foods, and staying out according to the patient’s wishes, and improve her QOL. [Case 2] An 83 y.o. woman had diagnosed as a pancreas head cancer. Three months after choledochojejunostomy, vomiting was caused. We performed ESP. The pancreatic tumor invased from duodenal bulb to descending part of duodenum. We had placed the anal-side stent end at the lower part of descending part of duodenum, and also the oral-side stent end at the prepyloric zone of stomach. She could live a rest of life at the home and improve her QOL. [Conclusion] The ESP will have the possibility to remove ileus status, and restart oral ingestion, so we actively consider this techniques to obstructive advanced cancer cases from the perspective of QOL improvement.
