Background: Colorectal tumors with severe fibrosis in submucosal layer and spreading into the appendix or diverticulum are challenging targets in the digestive tract. Endoscopic resection has scarcely been utilized in the treatment of these colorectal tumors because of technical difficulties and the possibility of perforation. We invented an approach for the full-thickness resection of colorectal tumors using laparoscopy and endoscopy cooperatively. Method: At our institute, we treated 23 cases by using this procedure in the period from December 2011 to February 2021. Results: Successful en bloc R0 resection and full-thickness excision were achieved with an adequate surgical margin in all the cases. The details are presented in the table. Conclusion: The full-thickness resection using laparoscopy and endoscopy cooperatively provides a new, minimally invasive treatment for colorectal tumors.
