Jeffrey W. Milsom, M.D.

Dr. Milsom is the Jerome J. Decosse Professor of Colon and Rectal Surgery and Professor of Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is also the Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Digestive Care (CADC) Weill Cornell Medical College/ New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Milsom is a nationally and internationally recognized pioneer in minimally invasive surgery and state of the art laparoscopic technologies for colorectal cancer, Crohn’s disease and other inflammatory bowel diseases.

Dr. Milsom has unique expertise and experience in minimally invasive surgery for Complex Colorectal diseases. He has performed over three thousand laparoscopic colon and rectal operations. He has been invited to perform surgeries in over 35 countries.

Under Dr. Milsom’s leadership, 90 % of all procedures in the colon and rectal section at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center are now performed using hi-tech, minimally invasive technologies.

He has published four books, 24 book chapters and over 250 peer reviewed articles and videos.

Dr. Milsom and his lovely wife Susie are blessed with two children, Alexandra and Geoffrey, and 3 grandchildren Fredericka, Nikolai, and Ruby.
