What happened and will happen over the past and the next 30years
- Rapid change of endoscopic medicine and education -
Chairperson Hisao Tajiri The Jikei University School of Medicine, Honorary Professor

In commemoration of the 30th JDDW, we will focus on the theme “Changing endoscopic medicine and education: the past 30years and the future 30 years” for the Strategic International Session of JDDW 2022. How far have we progressed in endoscopic medicine and education to date and how will the future change in the next 30 years? When we look at the endoscopic education, Japan has been shaken by the specialist system issue for the past 10 years. This is an opportunity for us to review our endoscopic education for a better direction. In addition, since the spring of 2020, the global spread of corona virus infections has forced changes in education and training systems. This has also been by the inclusion of the Web. Even if the corona virus infections subside in the future, we anticipate that there will be changes not only in clinical scenes, but also in the nature of academic societies and education and training. We would like to take this opportunity to think about the future prospects of endoscopic medicine and education with many of our members, while looking at the global trends.
