Nonthalee Pausawasdi received her M.D. degree from Thailand and completed her postdoctoral research training, internal medicine residency, GI fellowship, and advanced endoscopy fellowship training at the University of Michigan, USA. She is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
Currently, she is the President of the Thai Association for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TAGE) and the Program Director for the WGO endoscopy training program at Siriraj Endoscopy Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Also, she is a steering committee member and treasurer for the Asian EUS Group (AEG). She has been working with many endoscopy societies and international organizations, including the World Gastroenterological Organization (WGO), the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), the Asian EUS Group (AEG), the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Taskforce Asian Pacific (GI-TAP), and the Asia-Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE) in improving the quality of endoscopy training in the underserved areas worldwide. Also, she is a co-founder of the Women in Gastrointestinal Network Asia Pacific (WIGNAP), a special interest group that connects women in gastroenterology across Asian countries.
She serves as a member of the editorial boards for many reputed journals. She has published over 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her clinical and research interest is in the area of ERCP, EUS, and endoscopic treatment for upper GI bleeding.
