Dr. Pramod Garg is currently a Professor and Chair of the Department of Gastroenterology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was earlier the Associate Dean (Research) at A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi. At present, he is President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. He is a renowned physician-scientist with seminal research contributions in pancreatic diseases and has developed newer, effective therapies for patients with pancreatitis. He has published >260 original articles, including several papers in prestigious international journals with an h-index of 68 and >33000 citations. He is the 'Editor-in-Chief' of 'Pancreatology'. He is a fellow of all 4 national science academies: Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, and National Academy of Medical Sciences.
