Travel Award Program Application Outline
JDDW 2014 will establish a Travel Award Program for the purpose of development and exchange between young overseas doctors and researchers. The outlines of the application process are shown below. We are looking forward to your application.
1. Number of awards:
Awards will go to 38 people (from Japanese Society of Gastroenterology for 10 people, from Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society for 20 people, from Japan Society of Hepatology for 5 people, from Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery for 0 person, and from Japanese Society of Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening for 3 people).

2. Supplemental awards:
Transportation cost: Actual cost of transportation of up to one thousand US dollars (US$1,000);
Accommodation fee: JDDW will reserve and pay for the hotel room (single room x 4 nights).
3. Application acceptance period:
From February 3 (Mon), 2014 through to noon, March 18 (Tue), 2014 (Same as the application period for JDDW 2014 abstracts)
4. Application requirements:
Young overseas doctors/researchers, without Japanese nationality (in principle, 40 years old or younger)
*Age as of the start date of JDDW 2014 (October 23, 2014)
5. Selection method:
The program committee of each society will select award winners by reviewing abstracts received for JDDW 2014.
6. Application method:
Please apply by submitting your abstract for JDDW 2014. Please click here for application.
Online submission of abstracts for the theme sessions and digital poster sessions for the Travel Award Program will be available from the Submission Page. You can submit your abstract by clicking on a "Submit" button.
7. Announcement of the winners:
The details will be sent to each applicant by e-mail around late July of 2014.
